Events

RH TomCats don't just like to compete, the squad also enjoys participating in as many events as they can. Cheerleaders are great to have at many events as they add something different and are great at raising spirits and attracting attention. RH TomCats have been asked to attend a number of events, some for charities such as WaterAid and Comic Relief and other times by companies and other organisations. Whatever your event, RH TomCats will make it more fun for everyone involved.

Eddie Izzard's final marathon for Sport Relief

TomCats cheerleaders were asked by Sport Relief to welcome comedian, Eddie Izzard, back into London on the final leg of his last marathon. RH TomCats were proud to show their support to Eddie, who ran an incredible 43 marathons in 51 days. Standing in the rain in the middle of Trafalgar Square, the TomCats cheered Eddie as he passed the finish line "Eddie, Eddie you're a STAR!". Not only did the TomCats get to congratulate Eddie and have a cheeky photo, they also met their childhood idol, Lizo Mzimba who was interviewing Eddie for the BBC. On the whole an amazing day and a great way to show support to a fantastic charity.

Race for Life: City of London

On the baking hot day that was 31st May 2009, 10 members of RH Tom Cats traveled to Moorgate London to take part in Race for Life 2009. The girls enjoyed a fantastic day and ran the 5km with the other 6000 women taking part. The combined total raised by the girls will go toward the £829,000 target set by Cancer Research UK for this race alone. RH Tom Cats are passionate about fund raising for charity organisations and use their cheerleading talents to gain more awareness for charities and the events they set up.

Flora London Marathon for WaterAid

On Sunday 26th April 2009, RH Tom Cats cheered for runners at the Flora London Marathon on behalf of WaterAid. It was a spectacular day as the Tom Cats stood at the Limehouse cheering point in the bright sunshine. The cheerleaders stayed until the last people passed them, cheering chants to keep up positive spirits. The runners appreciated the cheers of encouragement as they passed by at 14 and 21 miles. Tom Cats were delighted by the positive response to their marathon themed cheers. WaterAid had over 100 runners on the day and RH Tom Cats made sure every one of them knew how much support they had in their endeavor to raise money for a great cause.

Wraysbury Fair

The Tom Cat cheerleaders hit Wraysbury on a beautiful sunny day to cheer, dance and fly around! Starting on a float parade the girls could be heard cheering their socks off from miles away. A highlight was cheering for the passing fire engine who even put their siren on for them! Arriving at the fair the Tom Cats had time to warm up and get some stunting practice in before their performance. The performance, choreographed by Jess Quiligotti, went very well and the Tom Cats were definitely a crowd pleaser! After the performance members of the public were given an opportunity to try out stunting (thigh stands) and to receive a certificate to prove honoury cheerleader status! It was a fantastic day had by all out in the glorious sunshine.

Blue Peter

RH Tom Cats were extremely privileged to be featured on children's favourite TV programme, Blue Peter. The team were challenged to teach presenter, Konnie Huq, some basic cheerleading stunts. They also performed a routine to the Miami Dolphin Cheerleaders on the show! It was a fantastic day had by all involved and an experience that won't be forgotten.
